Tits and Train Tickets: 2003 A two-woman performance written and devised in collaboration with Mandra Waback, film-maker and theatre practitioner. The autobiographical stories that make up the text are an examination of the coincidental meetings that end up being a family. While Ellen spends her time dressing and re-dressing in the various hideous outfits that are dropped from the ceiling in packages from her mother, the audience are invited to drink champagne, listen in to fragments of life stories, witness childhood games, and every now and then raise a glass in a toast. These are two people trapped into an endless family gathering attempting to make sense of their own lives like detectives looking for clues as to how they have become who they are. Performed at the Pickupclub in Amsterdam. back to main page |
